We want people to ‘Do their best work at Thérapie’. This is a Maternity Cover role (12 months), and as Head of People Operations, you will lead the operational backbone of the People function across the Thérapie Group, including Thérapie Clinic, Optilase, and Thérapie Fertility. You will ensure our HR, processes, and policies are efficient, scalable, and aligned with our values, supporting a seamless employee experience from hire to retirement.
3# Requirements
People Operations Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop a team of People Partners, ensuring consistent, high quality People Operations support across all regions.
Partner closely with the Directors of Operations on all People Operations matters, ensuring alignment between operational priorities and people processes, and providing strategic and operational support.
Own and continuously improve People Operations processes across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contracts, performance management, employee relations, mobility, and offboarding.
Act as a senior People partner to leadership teams across Ireland, the UK, and New York, providing pragmatic, risk-aware advice aligned to business objectives.
Ensure People policies, frameworks, and practices are compliant, scalable, and reflective of organisational values.
People Strategy
Collaborate closely with the Head of Talent, Head of People Analytics, and Head of Employee Experience to translate the People Strategy into actionable initiatives and measurable outcomes across the organisation.
Ensure seamless alignment between all People functions to enable consistent, end-to-end execution of the People strategy.
Use people data and analytics to inform decision-making, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
Organisational Design, Rightsizing & Offshoring
Lead and advise on organisational design initiatives, ensuring structures, roles, and capability models align with business strategy and future growth plans.
Partner with senior leaders on rightsizing initiatives and restructures, ensuring effective change management.
Provide strategic support on offshoring decisions, including role suitability and workforce impact.
Manage consultation processes, redundancies, and workforce transitions in line with relevant legislation and best practice across all regions.
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
Lead People Operations input into M&A activity, including due diligence, risk assessment, and workforce planning.
Advise on people-related risks and opportunities during acquisitions and mergers.
Own and execute People integration plans post-acquisition, including harmonisation of contracts, policies, benefits, and People processes.
Partner with relevant internal departments to ensure compliant and seamless employee transitions across jurisdictions.
Provide expert guidance on TUPE and equivalent transfer regulations, managing consultation processes, employee communications, and post-transfer integration to ensure full compliance and minimal disruption.
Workforce Mix
Own the organisation’s contractor engagement framework across Ireland and UK
Advise leaders on appropriate engagement models (employee vs contractor), assessing and mitigating misclassification risk.
Partner with Finance teams to ensure contractor arrangements comply with relevant regulatory requirements.
Develop decision frameworks, policies, and guidance to support compliant contractor onboarding, management, and offboarding.
Monitor regulatory changes related to contractor classification and proactively update practices to mitigate risk exposure
Employee Relations & Risk Mitigation
Lead complex employee relations matters across all regions, providing expert advice on performance, conduct, grievances, disciplinaries, and dismissals.
Design and maintain robust ER frameworks and processes to mitigate risk of third-party claims, including tribunals, litigation, and regulatory complaints.
Partner with Legal to manage external cases and ensure strong documentation, decision-making, and defensible processes.
Build capability within the People Partner team and leadership population to manage ER matters consistently and effectively.
Risk & Compliance
Maintain strong working knowledge of employment law across Ireland, the UK (including NI and Scotland), and the US (New York).
Lead or support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives related to People governance and risk management.
Ensure adherence to RQIA (Northern Ireland) and HIS (Scotland) guidelines where applicable, working closely with operational leaders to embed requirements into day-to-day practices
Oversee employer liability matters across all regions, working closely with insurers to minimise risk exposure and ensure compliant employment practices.
Provide strategic oversight of employer liability, embedding preventative controls and best practice People processes to protect the organisation from employment related risk in partnership with the Safety Manager.
4# Qualifications and Skills
Experience in senior People Operations or HR leadership roles within scaling, fast paced multi-jurisdictional environments.
Strong expertise in employment law across Ireland and the UK, with working knowledge of US (NY) frameworks.
Proven experience leading organisational design, restructures, and workforce change programme
Demonstrated experience supporting M&A activity from a People perspective.
Strong background in employee relations and third-party risk mitigation.
Experience advising on contractor governance and misclassification risk.
Proven people leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop senior HR professionals
